DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This position is responsible for enhancing production and execution of video content for Television station and digital platforms. The work includes managing a diverse team across various multimedia channels. This position ensures effective communication with the public through engaging live, streamed and pre-recorded content for the district. While the ability to exercise independent judgment is required, general direction is received from administrative personnel. General supervision is exercised over assigned personnel. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only) * Oversees the daily operations of a cable government and education television stations and its editors and technicians; * Works closely with City Hall TV studio; * Televises/stream live meetings/events for Public Schools/Yonkers Board of Education; * Directs, Edits and serves as Camera Operator for on-air presentations and maintains computer-controlled air schedule and community message boards; * Establishes, in conjunction with administrative officials, programming and broadcast format and parameters; * Monitors station operations to assure compliance with Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations including the maintenance of program logs and schedules, and production crew schedules; * Writes recommendations for short-term and long-term facilities planning and the acquisition of equipment and supplies; * Plans, scripts, shoots, edits and produces high-quality video content for television broadcasts and other digital platforms; * Oversees the daily operations of District's TV station, ensuring smooth scheduling, broadcast standards, and compliance with regulations; * Manages live production setups for events, board meetings, press conferences, and other live broadcasts, ensuring technical quality and seamless delivery to audiences.
