Content Creator (Part-Time)
African Safari Wildlife Park, one of the top family destinations in the Shores & Islands Ohio region, is entering a period of significant growth and investment. ALL POSITIONS: The Essential Functions of the job are to walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, crawl, twist, reach above head, pull, bend, climb stairs and ladders, and carry up to 50 lbs.
As a Content Creator, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality social media material for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, as well as supporting other marketing initiatives for the Park. In addition to social media skills, the ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude and exhibit a passion for learning and growing in a dynamic environment. Efficiency, adaptability, and teamwork are key qualities for success in this role. This is a seasonal, hybrid position with at least one in-person day per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture photo and video content at the Park
Edit photos and video for use on social media
Write captions to accompany photo and video posts
Ensure content adheres to the Park's voice, standards and style guide
Ensure timely delivery content by adhering to the Park's marketing calendar and social media posting schedule
Represent the Park at local and regional CVB events
Assist with other Park marketing initiatives, such as local coupon distribution
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older and pass pre-employment screening
Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Basic photography and videography skills
Basic photo-editing and video-editing skills
Access to a smartphone and computer with high-speed Internet
Comfortable working around animals, including birds, reptiles and invertebrates
Physical ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and occasionally perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting and moving up to 70 pounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision and manage time effectively

Create engaging content that tells a story and connects with the audience.
Work closely with the content team to develop creative concepts and strategies.
Edit photos for optimal presentation on digital channels .
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in social media content creation.
Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper file naming and archiving.
Create relationships and collaborate with outside photographers, influencers and brand ambassadors to create authentic content.
Travel to various locations for photo and video shoots as required.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to the Executive Producer, Primary Production in the Detroit office.
You will work closely with the Ford Content and Creative team and Hogarth Video Team.
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as a Photographer / Content Creator.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in photography
Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for storytelling
Strong understanding of visual storytelling.
