Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:

Locality pay varies by duty location. A fully trained CBP Officer is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.
LOCATION INCENTIVES: If you accept one of the duty locations listed below, you may be eligible to receive an additional 15%-25% of your salary each year for the first three (3) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. If you accept the duty location of San Francisco, you may be eligible to receive an additional 25% of your salary each year for the first four (4) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:

PURPOSE

Position Overview: Business Systems & Analytics Manager
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll harness data and technology to drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and make a lasting impact. As the manager, you'll lead by example, guiding other managers and team members on effectively leveraging tech tools to boost their teams' performance. With opportunities to innovate and grow, you'll also be cross-trained to temporarily step into other open leadership roles, providing vital support across the organization until the position is filled. Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and coach the business systems and analytics team, ensuring team accountability and success. This includes hiring, training, performance management, career path planning, and managing any outsourcing vendor partnerships.
Systems and Data Integrity Management: Oversee all company business systems and technology infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity. Set up and maintain system security protocols and actively resolve data errors in collaboration with relevant teams.
Analytics and Reporting: Build and manage dashboards and scorecards that provide actionable insights, track KPIs, and support company-wide data reporting. Ensure that dashboards are effective, accurate, and widely adopted by users.
Strategic Planning and Process Optimization: Collaborate with senior leaders to drive strategic improvements, optimize workflows, and increase automation. Use data-driven insights to recommend innovations and align systems with business objectives.
Project and Vendor Management: Lead technology implementation projects from planning to deployment, manage budgets, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure solutions meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance, Security, and Special Projects: Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies in data protection and cybersecurity. Additionally, lead or participate in special projects to address evolving business goals and initiatives.
