'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for safe operation of major earth moving equipment used in surface mining including: Track Dozers, Track Excavators, large Front End Loaders, Motor Graders, Haul Truck and Water Trucks. Position requires boarding and de-boarding of equipment and accessing inspection points to perform machine inspections. Work will be completed in varying extremes of environmental conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather. Work may be performed on a multi-shift rotation. Schedule may include weekend work and work weeks in excess of 40 hours. Duties require some moderate laboring of repetitive sustained physical effort: walking, climbing sweeping, shoveling, service jobs, minor mechanical duties or standing on uneven terrain, and lifting & carrying of materials up to 50#. Work must be performed in strict compliance with all Company, State and Federal policies, rules and regulations.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate-able physical skill and ability to operate heavy rubber-tired mining equipment. Selected candidates must pass a field operating proficiency test. Candidates must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and to interact with other production personnel to ensure teamwork and safe, efficient production operations.Pre-employment physicals / drug screenings, personal & criminal backgrounds checks will be conducted on all candidates that receive a conditional offer. Maintain equipment and facilities in a condition that meets or exceeds Good Manufacturing Practices, Kemp's standards, and regulatory standards. May be responsible for maintaining packaging standards, pallet configurations, and piping/electrical drawings.
Implement cost-reduction measures to control expenses that impact the operating budget for repair, utility, pretreatment, and maintenance-related chemical or supply accounts. May be involved in developing the capital budget.
Responsible for Storm Water tracking, Pretreatment land spreading and other Environmental and Regulatory reporting as required.

Principle Tasks
Prepare and release engineering documentation (e.g. analysis reports, MEA drawings, specifications, and DFMEA)
Employ MEA models to help understand performance and durability implications of different MEA design options
Work with team to ensure alignment between analysis and verification data
Support translation of MEA and higher-level requirements into subcomponent requirements for Research teams
Work with cell designers and component owners to ensure design targets are achievable
Develop proposals and scopes of work, quality control, and budget management
Analyze root causes, map processes and propose corrective actions
Create process and instruction sheets to support quality methods and processes
Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental and environmental standards
Support ISO 14001 compliance as well as internal ISO auditing/compliance
Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements

What you will do:
Fire Sprinkler Installation employees are responsible for the installation, service, and repair of fire protection systems including: wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam suppression systems; as well as fire pumps and back flow devices. SERVICE OILER 'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The heavy equipment Service Oiler will be responsible for all services associated with the heavy equipment at the Mine. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this position must have prior experience and/or knowledge of tasks associated with service oiling of heavy mobile mining and support equipment. Must have fundamental understanding of the properties of the various types of fuels, oils, greases and lubricants used to service equipment. Basic mechanical knowledge and skill to inspect wear components and hydraulic lines and fittings while servicing equipment is required. Applicants must have the skills required to perform the above duties on a multi-shift operation. Must posses a valid drivers' license.
SALARY:
The wage and benefits for this position will be as established by the Mining Agreement between Westmoreland Rosebud Mining LLC and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 400 AFL-CIO.
