Primary Duties
1. Conducts fabrication, design and welding of natural gas mains and service lines.
2. Fabricates portions of the system which include, but are not limited to, meter manifolds, industrial meter installations, measuring stations, pressure-regulating facilities, protective barricades, and other facilities needed for the system.
3. Performs tapping and plugging operations on pipelines of various sizes and pressures.
4. Assists Construction and Maintenance (C and M) as needed.
5. Demonstrates and applies the knowledge, skills and abilities to safely, timely and efficiently complete assignments within Company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
6. Maintains records of work assignments including drawings, maps, measurements, man hours, equipment hours, mileage and materials used reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.May be required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and occasional extensive hours.
2.Is subject to reporting outside regular work area.
3.Identifies, addresses, and reports safety and encroachment issues to their resolution and completion.
4.Is responsible for the safe operation and inspection of assigned Company vehicles and equipment.
5.Demonstrates support for and adheres to the Company's values, strategies, policies and procedures and exhibits the core values of AtmoSpirit, Customer Service, Safety and the Company's Code of Conduct both as an individual contributor, team member and/or leader of others.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level

A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), completion of the Operator Qualification requirements for position.

Certificates, Licenses, etc.

Must have and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training for position. Must obtain and maintain any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications within six months. May be required to maintain a Competent Person certificate.

Requires a valid driver's license and may be required to maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Requires an Appendix C Welder Certification

Communication Skills

Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with expertise or knowledge of the technical area.

Numeric Skills

Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.:

Physical Demands

1. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds from the ground to 32 inches. (Ex: lifting and carrying tools and equipment) 2. Ability to generate 75-foot pounds of force, pushing and pulling, at a contact point of 37 inches. (Ex: operating pipe cutters) 3. Ability to ascend/descend (8) 8-inch steps. 4. Ability to ascend/descend 18 rungs on a ladder. 5. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. 6. Ability to crawl 10 feet.

Work Conditions

Works in an outdoor environment. Requires frequently performing activities including, but not limited to, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, grasping, reaching, climbing and lifting up to 100 pounds (e.g. lifting and pulling rolls of pipe). May have residency requirement due to call-out response time.

Other Requirements

Requires the acute sense of sight and hearing (corrected or uncorrected) and strong sense of smell.
