Solano Community College is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitments. Assignments may include day, evening and weekend courses. The district may cancel classes or change instructors as enrollment needs are determined. This part-time instructor will Welding courses which might include: plate welding basics, advanced plate welding, pipe welding basics, advanced pipe welding, heliarc welding, metal inert gas welding. Additionally part-time faculty also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of curriculum. This position is a part-time position. The teaching assignment may require teaching lecture/lab courses during day, evening or on Saturday. The assignments are as needed, during Spring, Summer, and/or Fall semesters. This position is a "pool" position, meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. The District maintains a "pool" of applications for positions which are needed on an ongoing basis at Solano Community College. The advantage of "pool" positions is when a position becomes available, the Dean may immediately begin screening applications from the available pool of applicants without having to post a position and wait while the position is being advertised.
