A Brief Overview As a Welder I at Wood-Mizer, you will measure, weld, cut, and sand metal pieces and products using MIG welding equipment according to the required specifications set forth by Wood-Mizer. Locations Batesville, IN What you will do Know how to weld all common types and sizes of steel. Be able to successfully and with a steady hand weld in all positions. Set any power supply to weld any size or thickness of steel. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts and various hand and air tools as required. Clean weld spatter and grind parts per print specifications. Meet production goals. Productively participate in a Continuous Improvement work environment. Education Qualifications High School Diploma -- Required Trade School Certificate Vocational school and/or technical college training - Preferred Experience Qualifications 1-3 years Welding experience -- Required Skills and Abilities Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and weld symbols. (High proficiency) Ability to set any power supply to weld and know if the fusion is correct or incorrect. (High proficiency) Attention to detail.
