As a Welder, you will be responsible for fitting and welding steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 components using MIG/TIG welding processes. Working under shop supervision, you will ensure that all welding tasks are completed to specification, safely, and efficiently, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up welding machines according to job specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 components.
Repair broken or damaged parts and ensure high-quality welds.
Fabricate and revise fixtures, jigs, gauges, and special tooling.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and properly care for all equipment.
Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
3-5 years of relevant welding experience.
Completion of a Welding certificate from an accredited college or technical school.

TIG Welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel parts using the TIG process in accordance with RHC procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. TIG Welders certify to AWS D1731 Aerospace Specification as required to manually weld aviation hardware from 0.020” to 0.300” thickness, in all positions.

•Proficiency in pre-heating and post-heating of weld elements.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances. Drawing review for compliance for final dimensions, weld note callouts, base material, and filler material selection.
•Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
