Welding job duties include TIG welding, grinding, polishing, and operation of forklifts, torches, saws, drills, and other equipment. Accurate reading of tape, scale, blueprints, drawings, and schematics is required. Assist with pipe fitting as needed. Our install teams are the face of CSI to our customers. As a working lead, you are also responsible for oversight of the field installation of sanitary process systems, which requires leadership and coaching skills. Overnight and/or weekend travel is necessary and, at times, may be as much as 100%. A valid Class E driver s license, or ability to obtain one, is required. Travel is either by air or company vehicles. The company provides the required tools, travel and hotel accommodations, meals and other miscellaneous expenses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Interpret blueprints, drawing and measurements to plan layouts. * Weld small and large components. * Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors. * Follow and enforce strict safety regulations, including always wearing appropriate PPE. * Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. * Examines weld for bead size, and other specifications. * Ability to be in confined spaces. * 60% code work. (ability to pass 6G code test, pulse test, and ASME Certification) * May perform other duties as assigned to help the rest of the Watson team. Qualifications Education * High school diploma preferred but not required. * Valid certification in welding from an accredited institution is preferred. Specialized Knowledge and Experience * At least 3-5 years' experience fabricating and welding with the ability to weld with MIG, and TGAW stainless steel. * Experience in ASME shop a plus. * Ability to fabricate. * Forklift training is preferred. * Must have the ability to polish and finish stainless steel. * We need someone who wants to do more than simply be a "welder", who works well in team environments. * Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties. * Sound operation abilities with overhead cranes, forklifts, and all hand tools. * Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to successfully follow through on assignments. * Understanding of safety standards is required, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to work well with other team members.
