ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Setup, adjust, and operate all types of automatic welding equipment (i.e. long seam and girth welders, whirlybird, strip overlay, electro-slag) in accordance with the proper Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) in an efficient manner.

What You Can Expect Working in the Welder I Position
The Welder I is responsible for the fabrication, welding, and final installation of steel components in the production of residential and commercial storm shelters, engineered metal buildings, and other industrial buildings. In this role, you will be required to work with cranes, jigs, torches, plasma, hand tools, and welding machines on a continual basis as well as meeting third-party inspection requirements under AWS compliance standards. As a Welder, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structures' goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities
Proficiently welds components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Performs daily fit-up and layout duties.
Fabricates pieces ensuring conformance with product specifications and blueprints.
Maintains schedule and budgets for the task at hand and overall project.
Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.
Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Can pass weld test displaying Short Arc and Spray Arc MIG experience.
Some structural steel welding experience.
Knowledge of proper fitting/welding techniques.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
Work in such a way as to create limited scrap or rework and work to continually improve the quality level.
Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to pass company-required welding certifications.
Ability to successfully use the following hand tools: grinders, tape measure, squares, come-a-longs, torches, plasma, and other tools specific for the job task.

What You Can Expect Working in the Welder I Position
The Welder I is responsible for the fabrication, welding, and final installation of steel components in the production of residential and commercial storm shelters, engineered metal buildings, and other industrial buildings. In this role, you will be required to work with cranes, jigs, torches, plasma, hand tools, and welding machines on a continual basis as well as meeting third-party inspection requirements under AWS compliance standards. As a Welder, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structures' goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities
Proficiently welds components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Performs daily fit-up and layout duties.
Fabricates pieces ensuring conformance with product specifications and blueprints.
Maintains schedule and budgets for the task at hand and overall project.
Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.
Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Can pass weld test displaying Short Arc and Spray Arc MIG experience.
Some structural steel welding experience.
Knowledge of proper fitting/welding techniques.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
Work in such a way as to create limited scrap or rework and work to continually improve the quality level.
Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to pass company-required welding certifications.
Ability to successfully use the following hand tools: grinders, tape measure, squares, come-a-longs, torches, plasma, and other tools specific for the job task.
Ability to safely use overhead cranes.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to pass a company pre-employment including background check and drug screen.

Lifting up to 50 pounds and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and twisting of body parts throughout the day.
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; reading blueprints; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and fabrication/welding of parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
The worker is exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as hot and cold climates, dusty, and noisy areas.
Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
