Job Responsibilities
Journeyperson 4 (J4) - Pipe Welder

Proficient in welding all types of materials, including TIG and stick welding on plate and pipe.
Weld various piping joints such as sockets, butts, E.B rings, backing rings, and open butts.
Work with a variety of metals, including copper-nickel (CuNi), Monel, stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel/chromoly.
Set up and operate welding machines such as SYNCHROWAVE 250 and POWCON ST-300.
Troubleshoot TIG lines and welding machines.
Utilize mag-base mirrors for TIG and stick welding applications.
Work with Metro PCP 912-04 for P-I piping.
Journeyperson 3 (J3) - Pipe Welder
Understand and apply proper joint designs per MIL-STD-22D.
