Repair sterilizer trays and bases using techniques involving welding, grinding, sanding, straightening, and replacing components, to a safe condition and to align with all SOP's and drawing requirements. Transport tray stacks to and from manufacturing areas and the designated repair shop using PIT. Weld components for manufacturing maintenance as needed to support production, especially aluminum as this position is the lead aluminum welders on-site. Assist Sterilization Maintenance Technicians with maintenance tasks for the sterilization department as needed. Document all maintenance tasks in the Maximo CMM system. Perform routine PMs for all the shop equipment and record in Maximo. Assign RFID number to the tags and maintain the truck identification tags (RFID) for all sterilizer truck assets. Add and remove the tray assets from service in the BMTCS system as needed. Performs PIT daily checks. Perform 6S tasks daily to maintain the shop in a safe and compliant condition. Maintains valid (PIT) powered industrial truck license. What you'll bring High School graduate or equivalent 2 years of welding experience using a variety of materials Prefer 4 years of industrial maintenance or military maintenance experience. *MUST PERFORM HANDS ON WELDING TEST* Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members. Must be able to perform basic measurements and math. The welding test and interview must be satisfactorily completed prior to the job being awarded. Perform all task required to repair or modify the Sterilizer truck fleet. Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret the standard drawings for the sterilization trays and bases. Demonstrate ability to weld Stainless Steel and Aluminum to meet the strength and dimensional tolerances on the standard drawings. Ability to set up and operate welders, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and basic hand tools safely. Knowledge and proficiency with: Microsoft Office computer software and Maximo CMMS Ability to enter and assign RFID tags in the BMTCS system. Ability to learn how to effectively use Maximo to accomplish all items listed above.
