This position requires the candidate to perform fitting, cutting, welding, and soldering metal components made from various alloys such as aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, and lead. The candidate will fabricate or repairs products according to blueprints, job traveler, or work orders. Newly hired candidates will be qualified to AWS codes and standards. The position requires the candidate to be comfortable working in an ISO9001:2015/AS9100D environment. ES3 rewards staff members who are responsible, professional and have an excellent work ethic. Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a Trade School, Apprenticeship program, Military School, or On the Job Training Program in Fabrication and/or Welding. Prior certification from previous employer in AWS D1.1, 1.2, and 1.6 is a plus. 5+ years of related experience, Aerospace Industry is a plus. Fully proficient in GMAW (MIG) GTAW (Tig) Welding Experience and strong ability in reading blueprints and working with tight tolerances and complicated setups. Strong attention to detail to inspect completed weldments. Demonstrated experience performing intricate detailed work and the use of odd materials. Experience and thorough knowledge of all materials used in repair of Aircraft and their components a plus. Knowledge of sheet metal pattern layout, geometry, and other necessary mathematics. Knowledge and workability, content, and chemical properties of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Able to weld ferrous and non-ferrous materials, corrosion resistant steels, copper, lead, brass, or their alloys, in various sizes and shapes in overhaul, modification, repair, and fabrication. Machining experience is a plus. Ability to multitask, prioritize, adhere to written procedures and experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100D requirements, standards, and compliance issues. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of staff, customers, and government representatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read aerospace engineering blueprints and work with tight tolerances, and complicated setups. Fabricate, weld, and manufacture conformal anode fixtures for use in plating operations. Cut, position, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. Cut and Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. Lay out and mark points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe, templates, and calipers. Weld metal parts together, using both gas welding, soldering, and any combination of MIG and TIG processes. Fabrication of large-scale plating tanks using MIG welding Stainless Steel sheets and frame structure. Perform related tasks such as oxy-acetylene or plasma cutting and grinding. Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) gun. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Work overtime as needed to meet production demands. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned such as bending, brake work, cutting, assembly, etc. Ability to travel for tank line installation for several weeks (home on weekends) a few times per year. Work Environment ES3 Manufacturing facility is an ISO9001 and AS9100D certified shop. We maintain a professional clean working environment for all our employees. All tools, fixturing, and equipment necessary to complete tasks are provided by the company. The buildings have recently been renovated with LED lighting, heating, and central air conditioning. We desire an employee that works well with others and provides an exceptional finished product for our customers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday 9-hour days, every other Friday off, 8 hours on the working Friday. General working hours are 6 AM - 3:30 PM. Applicant may be required to work 2nd shift (3PM - 12:30 AM) if workload requires. Schedule will be adjusted for out-of-town travel times. Other Requirements: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
