multi-arc welding processes, a combination Welder who is practiced in SMAW (STICK), GMAW (MIG),

Assist with general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site preparation and clean-up
Perform firefighting duties if necessary
Maintain work area(s), assigned vehicle(s) and equipment in a neat, orderly, good working order
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Pass AWS D1.1 SMAW 3G & 4G combo welding tests
Possess a valid driver's license
Three (3) or more years of welding experience in cement, chemical, refining or similar manufacturing industries
Pass background, and drug and alcohol screening
Work at least an 8-hour shift and up to a 12-hour shift, which may include some weekends and holidays. NOTE: On some jobs overtime may be required
Work in enclosed spaces, such as tanks, bins, and silos
Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protection equipment
Lift a minimum of 50-pounds and climb up to 250-ft in height
Maintain facial hair daily so that a respirator/facemask can seal properly
Work outside in harsh weather conditions, or inside in hot, humid conditions

POSITION OVERVIEW
JGM is seeking an experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join our team at our heavy industrial steel fabrication shop. RESUMEN DE LA POSICIÓN
JGM está buscando un soldador experimentado para unirse a nuestro taller de fabricación de acero industrial pesado. El candidato ideal tendrá al menos dos años de experiencia en soldadura en la industria del acero estructural, preferiblemente dentro de un entorno certificado por AISC. Se requiere competencia en FCAW, junto con la capacidad de aprobar la prueba de soldadura AWS D1.1 3G utilizando FCAW. Este puesto exige una gran habilidad técnica, atención al detalle y un fuerte compromiso con la seguridad y la calidad.
RESPONSABILIDADES
* Ejecute las tareas de soldadura de acuerdo con los planos de taller y las especificaciones de la industria.
* Opere equipos de soldadura, incluida la soldadura por arco con núcleo de fundente (FCAW, por sus siglas en inglés), de manera eficiente y segura.
* Realice controles de calidad en las soldaduras y realice las correcciones necesarias para cumplir con los estándares AWS y AISC.
* Manipule de forma segura materiales pesados utilizando grúas aéreas, montacargas y otros equipos.
* Inspeccione y mantenga el equipo de soldadura, informando cualquier necesidad de reparación con prontitud.
* Cumplir con los protocolos de seguridad, incluido el uso de EPP y el cumplimiento de las normas de seguridad internas y de la industria.
* Colabore con los miembros del equipo para cumplir con los plazos de producción de manera segura y eficiente.
CALIFICACIONES
* Se requiere un mínimo de dos años de experiencia en soldadura en un entorno industrial pesado.
* Competencia en FCAW y la capacidad de pasar la prueba de soldadura AWS D1.1 3G usando FCAW.
* La familiaridad con múltiples procesos de soldadura (FCAW, GMAW, SAW, GTAW) es una ventaja.
* Es muy preferible la experiencia en un entorno de tienda con certificación AISC.
* Capacidad fuerte de interpretar los dibujos y las especificaciones del taller de manera independiente.
* Orientado al detalle con un compromiso con la seguridad y la precisión.
* Capacidad física para levantar hasta 75 libras, trabajar en espacios confinados y realizar tareas en alturas cuando sea necesario.
* Diploma de escuela secundaria o GED preferido; Las certificaciones técnicas o de escuelas de oficios son una ventaja.
* Capacidad para usar protección respiratoria y pasar pruebas de función pulmonar según sea necesario.
REQUISITOS FÍSICOS
* Uso regular de las manos y de los brazos para manipular las piezas de acero, operar el equipo de soldadura, y fabricar componentes.
* Capacidad para estar de pie durante períodos prolongados, levantar materiales pesados y realizar tareas que requieren una coordinación mano-ojo precisa.
* Subir frecuentemente escaleras y subir escaleras y trabajar desde plataformas elevadas.
* Capacidad para trabajar en espacios confinados, operar montacargas, grúas y otra maquinaria pesada si está debidamente capacitado y certificado.
AMBIENTE LABORAL
* Se trata de un puesto de trabajo en una instalación de fabricación de acero industrial pesado.
