Campos Fabrication is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Welder to join our team at our new facility near Commerce City, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems with precision and fabricating structures to be used in the field for our construction projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics Assemble, install, and repair pipe components Determine alignment and assembly of components Determine the required tool materials and welding methods Inspect materials, equipment, and tools Maintain supplies, equipment, and tools Prepare working material by clamping or cutting Examine completed welds to ensure they are free of defects and are smooth and functional Observe and follow safety regulations EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 4+ years of pipe welding experience Prior experience with cnc cutting machines High school diploma /GED Working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, ASME codes and standards Knowledge and experience with pipe fitting means and methods as well as welding equipment and processes SKILLS Candidates and incumbents need to have the following skills: Demonstrated ability to identify problems and work creatively in a team environment to resolve them. Ability to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as the situation demands. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Position and Responsibilities Overview * Currently offering $1,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $5,000 Relocation! * Operate trade specific machinery and trade specific tools (i.e., calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool). * Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products. * Identify product defects and effectively communicate defects to project foreman. * Follow P&IDS for assembly tracks on projects. * Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements. * Working with overheard cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts. * Work closely with other fabricators, welders and laborers to improve their skills and provide training. * Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods. * Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times. * Assist shop foreman or superintendent with production tracking and to insure production goals are met. * Communicate status of orders to the foreman or shop superintendent. * Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff. * Perform prioritized work flow assignments as directed by foreman or shop superintendent. * Ability to maintain welder certification per customer and company procedure specifications. * Perform X-Ray Quality Welds on process piping, hydronics, and pressure vessels. * Using shop blueprints, Fit up X-ray quality weld joints. * ASME Pressure Vessel, Piping, Welding to B31.1, 31.3, 31.9 Criteria. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. * Other Duties as assigned. follow up on job package and reviews changes with supervisor Assist with Preventative Maintenance tasks during down days by following Preventative Maintenance check sheet and signing off to indicate tasks have been completed, forwards to supervisor for review Perform housekeeping duties of an assigned area by cleaning area prior to job completion, turn in completed paperwork indicating area is clean Acquire necessary licenses to operate forklift, personnel lift, and boom truck Complete reports and documentation for assigned job by tracking the details of each job and reporting outcomes as tasks are completed Assist electricians, mechanics, and other skilled trades to complete assigned tasks Assist with mechanical repairs when needed Ability to layout from blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and job packages Ability to read, understand, and adhere to welding procedures Ability to select appropriate wire, electrodes, shielding gas, and proper machine settings when a procedure is not available Adaptability and flexibility are requirements due to the many changing conditions throughout the day Ability to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards and to obtain professional or technical certification by attending classes for various welding techniques Ability to work overtime as needed Ability to work in elevated areas, cramped areas, confined spaces; Under supervision, the Structural welder is responsible for welding structural members with welding procedures SMAW and FCAW. Mid-April 2025 * Working 40-50hrs a week * Wage ranging from $30-$33hr * Offering a weekly Per-Diem of $550 * Medical insurance and other insurance benefits available. * Paid vacation & 6 paid holidays after 1 year of service. * 80-hour payout at 2nd anniversary * Must certify in wire welding procedures for LPR * NCCER Certification for Craft preferred * Must Pass Fluxcore Welding Test Be part of LPR's Team!
