Properly align parts in the wrapper, pick up and insert spacers, attach band to the package, and move finished package onto a pallet. Move basement door parts weighing up to 60# approximately four feet, and lift them 3 feet high to attach them to the paint booth conveyer. Lift these same parts off of the conveyer and move them 10 fee to the packing area, then move completed package weighing 200#, three feet to a pallet.
* Actively participate in "5S" procedures as well as all Continuous Improvement efforts

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our talented team at R & J Cylinder and Machine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding and metal fabrication tasks in accordance with specifications, ensuring high-quality output, and adhering to safety protocols. The Welder will work closely with our engineering and fabrication teams to support the production of our products and services while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and comprehend blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods and positions.
- Perform welding operations such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Set up and calibrate welding machines and equipment per project specifications.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of welds by conducting tests and evaluations.
- Collaborate with team members to detect and troubleshoot welding issues, proposing solutions to improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior welders and apprentices as required.
- Complete necessary documentation related to welding tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding certificate program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes and techniques.
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized welding program (e.g., AWS, ASME).
