WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Programmer 1, you will create and modify control system software for integrated Audio Video Systems by converting requirements into a functional user interface and control code. Additionally, you'll collaborate with key stakeholders to meet unique requirements and work with hardware and software systems and platforms to deliver a system with robust capabilities. You will also install control programs and touch panel design onsite, offsite, and remotely. In addition, a Programmer 1 is expected to review and validate the work of an Associate Programmer.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Read and interpret AV systems drawings
Gather programming requirements
Create new control modules, control code and user interfaces
Mentor Associate Programmers
Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code
Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed
Demonstrate completed system to client
Create end-user and programming-related documentation
Maintain and update programming code in installed systems
Maintain control code in version control repository
Manage projects using dev-ops platform to track issues, deploy releases and collaborate
Travel to various job sites required

Must-Haves:
Proficient with test and calibration equipment and programing languages

Qualifications:
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years combined professional design experience (UI Design, Graphic Design, CX/UX, Design Research).
* Strong online portfolio that showcases the candidate's ability to make research-driven decisions in the design of responsive web and mobile applications.
* Results-oriented problem solver with high standards for quality, accuracy, attention to detail, and overall excellence.
* Strong understanding of the life cycle process of website development (discovery, planning, design, requirements, coding, testing, and user testing and evaluation).
* Strong understanding of user interface design standards.
* Experience designing web and mobile applications that are compliant with 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) standards.
* Experience prioritizing features while accounting for user goals and business requirements.
* Experience carrying designs from start to finish, from wireframes to delivery of final high-fidelity UI mockups.
* Experience establishing and maintaining rapid customer feedback loops to inform design at critical stages.
* Self-starter, motivated, confident, and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Success on projects designed from scratch as well as redesigns for established platforms or products.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Ideally, you will also have:
* Excellent interpersonal and client-focused skills-interacts well with all levels of staff and partners with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS).
* Experience using Agile methodology to manage projects.
* Experience creating and modifying data visualizations.
* Experience evaluating existing systems and processes to identify UI issues and develop UI recommendations.
* Understanding of user research methodologies, user-centered design principles, and frameworks.
* Understanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, and other research tools.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of highly specialized web-based applications; work with team of Software Developers to solve complex problems and deliver automated, scalable and exceptional user experiences. Additionally, the duties include: develop new programs or modify existing applications based on project requirements, following established standards for the design, coding, and testing of software; work with internal and external customers to validate system testing and conformity with C Spire requirements; assist in unit and integration testing, presenting results, and obtaining agreement and approval; follow change management and implementation procedures; research, propose, and implement solutions to production issues and trouble tickets as assigned; and, prepare program and process documentation.
Qualifications
