Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Own the design process from end-to-end, from user research and concepts exploration to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.
* Collaborate closely with product manager, engineer, and technical writer to build intuitive, accessible, and innovative products that delight millions of users.
* Help define product strategy that impacts product roadmaps and business goals. Work on solutions for some of the most complex design and technical problems we are tackling at AWS.
* Create user-centered designs and advocate for customers by understanding business requirements, customer's needs, and technical feasibilities.
* Quickly create and iterate on user flows, wireframes, and high fidelity prototypes based on users' feedback to continuously raise the bar for quality. Present and playback findings and designs to stakeholders and leadership.
* Talk with customers and work with partner teams on collecting qualitative and quantitative data to make informed design decisions at the product level, and continuously align with various stakeholders.
* Collect metrics after product launch to evaluate designs and make informed improvements on user experience.
* Help define and improve design best practices, including but not limited to defining and refining design patterns, standards, methods, and processes. You will also help drive adoption of these across teams.
* Contribute back to the design community by mentoring and coaching other designers on their professional development and design skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

The Design Manager assumes project lead role at design hand-off meeting from the land enablement team and shifts overall project leadership to the Construction Manager (CM) at GC mobilization.
Direct accountabilities include:

Coordinates with CM to prepare and present quarterly project updates for leadership.
Conduct technical review of construction plans with understanding of architectural design within data center environment. Communicate conceptual designs to multiple internal Aligned teams with required project documentation prior to and during construction. Cross reference to customer requirements as needed.

Senior Web Designer will:
Work closely with analysts to conceptualize interactive products that clearly and efficiently communicate intelligence reporting.
Create wireframes, storyboards, and design mockups of UI layouts in preparation for customer consultations
Conceptualize, capture, and create intuitive interactive user interfaces that are understandable for all users
Work closely with other tradecraft specialties at NGA and across the IC as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Assist to establish best practices, standards, templates, and other style guides for all graphics produced in ATC and the Analysis Directorate.

Requirements
TS/SCI security clearance
At least ten years of relevant web design experience. A bachelor's degree in a field related to the support services may count for up to four years of this experience.
Knowledge and expertise in User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX) design or research
Superior and demonstrable proficiency in the ability to visually depict complex data and reporting into creative design solutions that effectively communicate the customer's objectives and requirements.
Proficient understanding of web markup: HTMLS and CSS3, and client-side scripting: JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and Vue.js.
Working knowledge of Adobe CC with emphasis using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, and Adobe After Effects.
Skilled ability to create original graphics (icons, maps, images, etc.)
Working knowledge of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
