Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for pulling parts needed for our assembly operations and staging these parts in an orderly fashion.
Responsibilities
• Staging Parts- Reading the bill of materials and data sheets, and picking the required parts and staging accordingly
• Monitor scheduled shipments and pull parts as needed
• Put received motors into stock
• Responsible for special stock conditions, organization and handling
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in a Manufacturing Envrioment

• Analytical Skills-basic math-able to calculate material needs, materials completed, project completion, count
• Ability to read/write/understand instructions, schedules, markings, prints etc.
• Strong Communication skills, this position will interact with all levels of management, staff and labor

Transporting materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or other parts of the facility
Labeling and tagging materials with identifying information such as part numbers, lot codes, or expiration dates
Using the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to maintain accurate inventory records, tracking the movement of materials in and out of the facility, and performing periodic physical counts to ensure accuracy
Picking and pulling parts and conducting visual inspection of materials
Ensuring that materials are stored in proper locations and in the correct quantities using various types of storage systems such as shelves, racks, or bins
Communicating with other departments, such as production or purchasing, to coordinate the movement of materials and ensure that production schedules are met

Job Duties:
Prepare customer orders by processing receipts, picking, packing and shipping parts.
Ensures all customer orders meet quality standards, correct part, correct quantity, shipped to correct address, on time, every time.
Ship parts through parcel carriers (UPS) as well as Less Than Truck load and Dedicated trucks.
Safely operate mobile equipment, Sit Down Fork Truck, Standup Reach Truck, Order picker (full time associates).
Participate in annual physical inventory, perform daily cycle counting activities.
Follow all safety procedures per company policy, identify and solution any unsafe practices to ensure all employees operate in a safe environment.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, lift 40 pounds, wear safety toe shoes, for 8 working hours per day.
Perform any other task assigned by DC Manager or DC Supervisor.
