Walsh University company history timeline
In 1959 the present location of Walsh University began as 50 acres (20 ha) of farm land on which two buildings were constructed, College Hall (Farrell Hall) and LaMennais Hall which continues to house the Brothers and international priest-students.
That vision was realized on November 17, 1960, when the seven founding Brothers, comprising the entire faculty, welcomed the incoming class of sixty-seven "gentlemen" to, then, Walsh College.
In 1960, the Brothers of Christian Instruction established Walsh College, a Catholic institution of higher education, in North Canton, Ohio.
Established in 2007, Walsh University’s Museum Studies program offers the only full undergraduate major in the state of Ohio.
On July 1, 2019, Walsh University announced that Timothy J. Collins was appointed to serve as the university's seventh president.
