Pros of working at Walmart

A paycheck. That is honestly it. The place has nothing to do with the vision Sam Walton had.

Cons of working at Walmart

Management, talking down to associates. Unreal expectations of what is able to be accomplished by the too few associates. No actual reviews for associates. Same measly 2% across the board no matter how hard you work.

Walmart Benefits

Discount and Paramount +

What do you like best about Walmart's CEO and the leadership team?

There honestly is nothing at this moment. They aren't interested in the associates, only their bonuses.

How would you improve Walmart's culture?

Go back to Sam Walton's respect, care and concern for the employees.

How did you prepare for the Walmart interview?

Walked into tgecstire and asked for hiring manager.

How does your compensation at Walmart compare to the industry average?

The starting pay has actually decreased since I've been there, making it much harder to attract quality employees.

What's the diversity at Walmart like?

The organization is very open to diversity

What brings you the most joy at Walmart?

Getting my check and leaving

*Poor management and leadership *Poor communication / inability to communicate with fellow team members who cannot speak English *Poor pay *"Pass the buck" mentality *If you're a hard worker, you will be worked into the ground in no time

What do you like best about Walmart's CEO and the leadership team?

They're present on the job. (No knowledge known of the CEO.)

How would you improve Walmart's culture?

*Hiring people who can understand one another. *Holding ALL team members to same standards. *Ensure positivity starts at all management levels. *Livable pay wage *Equality for all

How did you prepare for the Walmart interview?

*Punctuality *Positivity *Dress for the position you eventually want to be, not where you will be starting.

How does your compensation at Walmart compare to the industry average?

Piss poor

What's the diversity at Walmart like?

The "diverse demographics" contribute to a more negative and distrusting work environment when non-English speaking foreigners manage themselves, and aren't held to the same standards as those who do the brunt of the work. It was the most amazingly sad and negative experience I've ever had in my life. Akin to reality being a bad dream. The most poorly organized, managed, and ran workforce in my life.

What brings you the most joy at Walmart?

Break & lunch.... I'm not kidding.

Pros of working at Walmart

If you work there long enough you acrue mad amounts of PTO and PPO. And you do get some really cool customers that make your job enjoyable

Cons of working at Walmart

Instead of seeing the potential in people, teaching and nurturing those qualities. It's easier for them to have feedbacks and coachings! Which in essence. Makes you a constant target! Same goes if you can't talk to upper management. And decide to call ethics. That makes you an even bigger target! Also if your really good at what you do in one specific area. Your kind of stuck there. Since you'll probably pick up some other slackers pace/work. Have never seen so many salaried managers have quote "under the radar" flings with female employees! And lastly. Being micromanaged to death!

Walmart Benefits

Break, lunch, break, home. Driving with the windows down. No radio. Cause I'm burnt out on that piped in music.

What do you like best about Walmart's CEO and the leadership team?

Leadership and management practices need a complete overhaul! In fact. They make most processes more complex then they need to be. Keep that machine simple!

How would you improve Walmart's culture?

Listen more! Your employees are your backbone!

How did you prepare for the Walmart interview?

Be yourself. Answer honestly. And keep up pace when walking on a store tour.

How does your compensation at Walmart compare to the industry average?

I still make less than I did in 1994!

What brings you the most joy at Walmart?

Emploees. After you work a 40hr week. Your co workers become your work family. Your happy when their happy. Your sad when their sad. Same goes for the whole range of emotions.
