Your Role as a Ortho Assistant
The Orthodontic Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. An orthodontic assistant prepares the patient for treatment and assists the Orthodontist by preparing materials and equipment for treatment for the Orthodontist use.
Key Responsibilities
Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
Ability to change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive, take impressions, take scans, prepare teeth for bonding
Prepares treatment estimates for review and discussion with patient.
Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.

Dental or Ortho Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
Current CPR certification.

Job Purpose:
The Volunteer, Foster and Program Coordinator shall be responsible for the coordination, orientation and scheduling of all A.D.O.P.T. volunteers for shelter support, clinic assistance, programming and fundraising events. The position will require collaborative efforts with parents and staff. This role is key in providing education for youth, groups and overall community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Training, scheduling, and supervising of front desk, animal care and administrative volunteers.
Recruiting of new volunteers
Management of record keeping for volunteers through Volgistics
Scheduling and presentation of volunteer orientation to be held monthly
Assisting with events and activities as needed
Meeting and greeting visitors to the shelter
Management of community service volunteer program
Coordinates volunteer recognition programs
Management of corporate volunteer groups

Responsible for recording and processing information relative to statistics, finances, communications, and evaluation for all programming.
Create weekly and monthly program schedules for all programs, including detailed after-school programs and summer day camp schedules.
Troubleshoot logistics of our animals' arrival and finding available foster homes.
Provide foster families with everything they'll need, like:
Information and advice on caring for animals using fear-free methods, common animal medical concerns to be aware of, reading animal behavior, etc.
Loading them up with the basics: food, litter, bedding, toys, and more.
Making the introduction to their new furry foster!
Respond to foster families' questions and concerns with urgency.
Work collaboratively with other departments to triage any medical and/or behavioral concerns of foster animals. Attend events to promote our foster program and recruit more foster families.
Help organize foster-based adoption events to find our animals forever families!
Ensure all material used in any programming aligns with A.D.O.P.T's mission and vision statements.

Salary
The base pay range for this position is $77,250.
This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, and does not include summer salary.

Here's how you can help. We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and rise to the challenge of empowering service.
Position Highlights:
This position will support a 'volunteer days' partnership as a member of the core planning team. The core team is responsible for securing service projects for our corporate partner, communicating extensively with Lion and partner leads on project coordination, and ensuring event execution is seamless. Other duties include but are not limited to registration data extraction and analysis, ensuring service project logistics are thoroughly defined and on schedule, and managing post-event reporting compliance.
What You'll Do:
* Serve as a project coordinator and communication lead for assigned geographic areas: answer questions from project email box, phone calls, and registration inquiries, support partner site captains and Lion hosts, ensure post-project reports are complete.
* Event management: Coordinate operational logistics with Lions, partner site captains, or host venue to assess project capacity, duration, project preparation, and on-site event flow.
* Extract, compile, and manipulate quantitative data from registration system and past projects for registration updates, partnership reports, presentations, and grant maintenance.
* Collaborate with LCI marketing team on landing page, social media posts, marketing collateral, and other partner engagement opportunities.
* Participate in weekly project updates via conference calls with internal team and partner.
We're Looking for Someone With:
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Microsoft Word: Intermediate experience required
* Microsoft PowerPoint: Intermediate experience required
* Microsoft Excel: Intermediate experience required
* Aptify: Experience preferred
* Outlook Calendar: Experience required
Compensation: Non-exempt, $23-26/hr., about 37.5 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions:
* Provides general administrative support to teams.
* Handles telephone calls and visitors; troubleshoots and resolves routine and some complex inquires.
* Organizes electronic and hard copy filing system, scans documents to appropriate locations, and maintains divisional files.
* Receives clinically related messages, phone calls, or correspondence and routes to the appropriate care team.
* Prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails using MS Office Suite of applications.
* Opens, sorts and distributes incoming electronic and paper correspondence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
