Examples of Essential Duties
This assignment is for Library Security Monitor and the duties for this assignment are:
Provides general assistance to library visitors and staff, in matters relating to building security, safety and maintenance.
Greets library users, makes them feel welcome, and directs them to appropriate service desks.
Interprets, explains and enforces library policies to the public.
Provides regular patrol and monitoring of Central Library building and grounds.
Works to help diffuse difficult situations and if needed, escorts disruptive patrons from the building, and reports suspicious behavior to supervisors.

SELECTION PROCESS
The program will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants. This is a part-time hourly at-will position working up to 16 hours per week maximum.
In order to be considered for the program, you must complete an online application and UPLOAD THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

Proof of full-time student status:
High School ID for high school students
College transcript or school letter (certifying full-time student status) for college students working towards a degree
