We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Quality Partner (SQP) to join our Product Development Quality organization, reporting to the Subchapter lead Product Development Quality. As the Strategic Quality Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring effective partnerships with Development Project Teams for Software Development thriving for project acceleration and ensuring no delay in milestones and project execution. You drive consistent interpretation & implementation of global requirements across Customer Areas (CAs). You ensure the deployment and implementation of the D&D module and drive awareness and adoption of the Risk Enabler inside and outside of Global Q&R decision making. You are an example of living collective success by working, trusting and empowering each other. The Opportunity You act as a single point of contact within project teams (New Product Development / Product Change) and partner with Design Quality Partners (DQP) to decide efficient and effective documentation of milestone deliverables. You are skilled in leading strategic topics and decisions. You facilitate constructive discussions e.g. at project team meetings. You partner with internal and external stakeholders across the value chain to incorporate learnings in the development process. You ensure effective feedback loops and information flow for milestone review. This includes developing and enhancing playbooks to optimize/accelerate/enhance Pre Market Quality contributions for a given type of project/technology. You ensure consistent interpretation & implementation of global requirements across Customer Areas (CAs) and incorporate lessons learned from all areas of quality across Customer Areas (CA) into project support and ensure Postmarket Quality feedback is built into the requirements. You ensure development project plans contain the right deliverables according to D&D module to deliver safe and compliant solutions. You support internal and external audits and partner to ensure effective resolution of issues (e.g. CAPA, NC). You drive awareness and adoption of the Risk Enabler inside and outside of Global Q&R decision making; prepare and enable risk based decisions. You advance the work of the organization by continuously improving knowledge management within Pre Market Quality, fostering the effective sharing and retention of valuable knowledge and expertise. You ensure effective change management in Product Development Quality, R&D and other functions, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, nurturing a creative and problem-solving mindset throughout R&D, Product Development Quality and other functions. Who You Are You have a Bachelor's degree in science, business administration or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is considered an advantage. You have + 8 years of experience in the diagnostics industry or a related field in business related functions. You have a strong business and financial acumen with an enterprise mindset You have scientific and technical background with sound product knowledge, ideally with software development experience for medical device software (SaMD, standalone and embedded software). Knowledge of Regulations pertaining to the environment (i.e. ISO 13485, IEC 62304/82304, MDR, others) Leadership You are a pragmatic decision maker with the ability to move forward without a perfect solution. You are an excellent communicator with strong presentation, and negotiation skills. You have an agile mindset and demonstrate new ways of working. You have experience in leading cross-functional teams (Squad Lead, Matrix Lead) and driving change. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is $98,900 and $208,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The Opportunity Supports and oversees the functions of the Histology in the performance of the day-to-day activities of the Histology Lab Technical team (includes Lab Assistant(s), assigning workloads, monitoring training and schedules. Supports lab by ensuring adequate reagent ordering and instrument/equipment support. Works with cross-functional teams, within and outside CDx Pharma Services. as needed. Ensures compliance with CAP (College of American Pathologists) policies and procedures as they apply to sample handling such as grossing, processing , embedding, microtomy, primary and advanced staining, instrument and equipment maintenance and monitoring status of samples as they move through the lab. Reviews updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they meet CAP compliance and reflect actual practice. Key Roles and Responsibilities Oversees, coaches, trains, counsels and mentors staff, providing constructive and timely feedback on performance; ensures alignment on workload prioritization and resources. Supports the functions of Histology in the performance of routine Histotechniques and maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with advanced techniques. Trains and updates staff on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and assures proficiency on the use of the LIMS system as it applies to the daily work. Monitors activities in the LIMS System; provides input to Data Management on LIMS updates and improvements. Identifies and analyzes problems, identifies tasks and solutions, and presents findings in team meetings. Monitors quality control and assurance metrics to ensure CAP and other regulatory compliance. Other duties as assigned by management. Who You Are Bachelor's Degree in laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or Histology 5 years of experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist working in a lab. Current HT(ASCP) Certification in Histotechnology or HTL(ASCP) Certification in Histotechnology Qualified in Immunohistochemistry (QIHC) Certification Preferred Qualifications Competent and proficient in all aspects of CAP/CLIA regulated Laboratory. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of basic supervisory principals and general understanding of HR policies and procedures. Ability to lead and motivate others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of pre-analytic, analytic and post analytic efforts in Histology and Pathology. Knowledge of QC/QA documentation practices to meet compliance standards for CAP and clinical studies. Skilled in grossing clinical biopsy samples, processing, embedding, microtomy, primary and advanced staining procedures and coverslipping. Ability to understand and troubleshoot Histotechniques, lend technical support and insight for Histology practices to CDx and clients. Ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of IHC theory and troubleshooting. Able to validate new instruments, new assays and routine Histology techniques. General knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Ability to multi-task, prioritize and drive issues to closure.
