Position Summary:
Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a passionate and skilled User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Digital Services team. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for a range of digital products and services. You will work closely with our web development team and patient engagement team to deliver seamless and intuitive experiences for patients, providers, and colleagues.
Position Responsibilities:
Key Areas of Responsibility
User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Information Architecture and Journey Mapping: Design and optimize information architecture for MyChart patient portal, websites, landing pages, and other engagement technologies. Create user journey maps to identify key touchpoints and opportunities for improvement.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas and test user interaction flows
Design System Development\: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital products
Usability Testing and Iteration: Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement and refine the user experience
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with web developers, patient engagement specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful product development
Stay current with UX Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design
Own the User Experience: Be the champion for the user experience across all digital products and services within the Digital Services team.
Perform other related duties as required.
Working Relationships:

Education
· Bachelor's degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Human-Centered Design, Interactive Design, or a related field
Experience
· Minimum\: 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, demonstrating a strong portfolio of work.
Preferred\: Experience designing for healthcare systems and patient portals, websites, and mobile apps is highly desired
Licensure, Certification, Registration
· Preferred\: Human-Centered Design
Language Skills
· English
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
· Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, best practices, and methodologies
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
· Ability to translate complex information into intuitive and engaging user interfaces
· Passion for creating positive and impactful user experiences
