You will ideally possess your PE/EIT license and have strong experience in commercial and residential building HVAC design and equipment selection. As well as expert knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. In the role you would be working closely with the clients, managing the MEP projects, overseeing the design working with the Architect then working with the team coordinating Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing work along with some QA/QC.
You will use your background in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design and R&D to manage and deliver a range of projects working successful with the company President. This is predominantly an office-based role (90%) with very occasional travel from time to time to client sites. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be responsible for creating intuitive, clear, consistent, and strong UX workflows designs that make our features simple and attractive to use for our desktop and mobile applications.
Align the look and feel of the digital space with company brand guidelines
Perform thorough research by meeting with product owners to understand business needs.
Present designs to our product owners, engineering, and marketing teams for feedback.
Create work tickets via Jira with defining requirements around your designs.
Work with front and back-end engineers as they code the new designs and features to provide clarity and adjustments where necessary.
Review completed work for functional and aesthetic accuracy before approving your work to be released.
Your design work will include improving existing functionality as well as creating designs for new features.
Mock ups, both static and clickable prototypes will be required.
Your projects will also include working on our website to improve its look and overall feel.
Make sure your design files are clean and organized. This includes identifying next steps, clarifying unclear tickets, and breaking larger tickets into smaller and more manageable tasks.
Keep our production deployment path clear. You will be expected to take accountability for ensuring projects are not a bottleneck for deployments, and anticipate the impact of new development features for UX.
Motivating, inspiring, and influencing others in the organization to engage with design thinking and best UX practices
Participating in identifying and defining strategic initiatives as well as supporting those efforts
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years professional experience in the software/design/digital world with proven track record
Strong UI/UX portfolio including designs, wireframes and/or interactive prototypes.
Experience in translating user experience needs into intuitive, engaging user interfaces
Experience with mobile UI standards, usability, and practical experience in design and development of user interfaces for mobile applications
Proficiency in Adobe XD
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
Experience with Optimizely
Experience with Agile Development is a plus
Experience in the Travel Industry is a plus
The right candidate is an ambitious, aggressive, hard-working, self-starter, who is well organized and able to assume responsibility for specific project deliverables with limited supervision.
Must also have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to travel to the resorts we represent
Must be able to travel to our overseas office locations
Must maintain proper travel documents
EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelors degree in design, computer sciences, related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 5 years UI design experience or similar role
