Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Job Duties
Assists surgeon with procedures related to the care of patient of all ages during surgical intervention.
Assists in the coordination of treatments with other disciplines.
Provides basic patient assistance.
Connects patients to clinical equipment as needed.
Practices aseptic techniques while preparing for surgery including scrubbing, applying surgical gown, gloving, draping and setting up instrument table.
Actively participates in surgical Time and out and operating room briefing according to the universal protocol.
Identifies correct surgical site with the circulating registered nurse and surgeon before incision of operative procedures.
Maintains an accurate account of supplies including sponges, needles and instruments.
Verifies count with the circulating nurse at end of procedure.
Prepares, identifies and verifies all specimens obtained during the surgical procedure.
Disposes of linens, needles and sharps in appropriate containers.
Assesses wounds and applies or changes sterile dressing as instructed by the registered nurse.
Maintains and documents universal precautions.
Initiates emergency procedures.
Participates in the admission and discharge process.
Performs billing as appropriate for services rendered or equipment used.
Participates in on-call rotations of operating room.
Acts as a preceptor for students assigned to the surgical unit.
Adheres to all policies, protocols and standards of care.
Performs quality control monitoring.
Performs additional duties including specimen collection, pleure-vac and traction set up, patient transport and post-mortem care.
Assures all medications and solutions are labeled, under the registered nurse's supervision.

Locality pay varies by duty location. A fully trained CBP Officer is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Support and develop content for weekly/monthly sales and distributor meetings, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) meetings and special initiatives (100 Days of Summer). Commercialization Stage Gate Process: Support the Stage Gate process in the identification of emerging brands and categories that complement our brand portfolio and add incremental profitability. Support new product launches from concept to execution in partnership with Sales leadership to include authorizations, promotional calendars, launch letters and sales execution material. Measure the effectiveness of new product introductions, marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
Brand Partnership & Management: Support the marketing and sales teams in the execution of sales blitzes, incentives and brand promotions. Ensure strong alignment and communication with key internal stakeholders in both Sales and Operations. Understand and leverage local and national media from brand partners. Provide insights from market data at the national and local level. Develop and utilize tools to leverage available market data.
Marketing Strategy & Support: Partner with our internal print media team supporting marketing and sales programs throughout the Enterprise. Coordinate with the sales teams on all Point-of-Sale creative, ordering requirements, coupons, and equipment for all relevant brands and packages.
Knowledge & Skills:
Sound understanding of statistical analysis and planning or market research. Practical experience with new products, branding, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies.
