The primary duties of the Artist In Residence are to produce and share live and/or recorded musical work, mentor students in private instruction and collaboration, and promote the Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Roots Music Program throughout the duration of their employment. Artists In Residence will have access to all of the resources of the program in order to support their activities, including state-of-the-art performance and recording spaces, the prodigious Archives of Appalachia (which include nearly 90,000 recordings), and dedicated teaching areas. Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, research-track faculty position (#123620) in forensic anthropology at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.
The successful candidate is expected to have research and teaching experience in forensic anthropology; specialization is open. The successful candidate will teach courses in their areas of expertise at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will lead the Department and be active in research, teaching, and outreach. The TVA Endowed Chair is expected to lead nationally recognized research efforts in an energy related focus area. Focus areas of interest are energy efficiency, TVA workforce development, cyber security, carbon reduction, grid resiliency, electric vehicle evolution, and grid transformation in the energy industry.
Required Qualifications

Humphreys School of Law invites applications for the position of Associate Dean to lead the Law School's curricular and programmatic initiatives advancing diversity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence. In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the Associate Dean position has a teaching commitment of two courses per academic year and will include an appointment to the law school faculty. A recommendation of tenure upon appointment may be made to the Board of Trustees if approved by the University's President.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Administration
* Work with the Dean and faculty in setting, prioritizing, and executing the Law School's goals and objectives for the advancement of diversity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence.
* Oversee the administrative operations of the Law School Office of Diversity and Inclusion fund budget, and complete necessary reporting to the Law School Dean, Vice President for Student Academic Success, and University Provost.
* Oversee and execute the Tennessee Institute for Prelaw Students (TIP) and other pipeline initiatives, including supervision and training of support staff and graduate assistants.
2. Student Success & Climate
* Support student, staff, and faculty professional development and serve as a general resource in the areas of diversity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence.
* Encourage institutional policies, practices, and programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence.
* Monitor general success of diverse and first-generation students.
3. Outreach & Development
* Develop outreach and communication plans as necessary to meet Law School diversity, inclusion, and access goals.
* Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that support diverse and first-generation students and promote Law School's goals and objectives for the advancement of diversity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence.
* Work with the Law School Dean and Office of Development to ensure sustainability of the Law School's goals and objectives for the advancement of diversity, inclusion, access, and cross-cultural competence, which includes seeking grant funding where possible.
Minimum Position Qualifications
A tenured appointment and at least five years of teaching experience at an ABA accredited Law School.
Special Conditions
A recommendation of tenure upon appointment may be made to the Board of Trustees if approved by the president.
