Full-time Description
Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility that provides power to rural Wright County and western Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a corporate citizen to the area since 1937 and currently serves more than 50,000 electric accounts.
The Temporary Front Desk Receptionist provides the member, customers and guests first impression of Wright-Hennepin and is responsible for all front desk activity including making guests feel welcome and directing employees to assist them, receiving payments, balancing cash drawers, answering the switchboard and directing calls to employees/call groups.
Schedule: This temporary position has a tentative end-date of May 16th, 2025. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. We observe summer hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day of 7:30am-4:00pm.
Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hr based on experience.

Front Desk and Front Office
Welcome members/customers and guests
Process and balance cash drawers and prepare daily bank deposit
Direct members/customers for equipment pick up and drop off
Receive deliveries
Follow company safety guidelines for registering guests coming into the office
Assist members/customers and employees with the purchase of company apparel, off peak equipment, batteries, stamps, etc.
Keep the Front Office neat and appealing
Keep supervisor informed of potential Front Office safety issues
Open and or close the lobby for the day.
Manage switchboard
Maintain company phone list and distribute updated listings to employees
Answer incoming calls within 10 seconds and keeps abandon rate to less than 3%
Maintain in-out listing of employees
Keep supervisor informed of phone routing/equipment issues.
Office Administration
Create informative/appealing slides for the in-office monitors
Monitor and process incoming company email, voice mail and faxes
Mail new member packets and enter data when member surveys are returned
Assist department administration in updating and entering customer account data and other clerical duties as assigned
Assist in the preparation of member events as well as work at member events
Complete shared administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to: collating mail, creating WH Security insurance certificates and welcome packets, mail product and service brochures to members/customers from MSR task request, creating reports, stuffing envelopes and research.
Process mail and order office supplies.
Requirements
Education and Experience
High school education or equivalent
2+ years of customer service/customer relations experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 45 words per minute accurate typing
Ability to work under deadlines
Demonstrate skills in word processing and a general knowledge of computer applications and office machines
Excellent communication skills
