Essential Functions
Verify drawings prior to release for fabrication - Not Verify, evaluate the process requirements of drawings.
Order fabrications and machining based on project timelines and scheduled needs
Work with the various vendors to achieve the best possible price and delivery
Process fabricated spare parts orders as required
Track all incoming fabrications and machined parts to timeline requirements.
Interface with all departments to resolve any issues dealing with the machining and fabrications
Support all quality systems requirements
Epicor - Update order entry and status of components both sourced internally and externally.
Minimum Education Requirements
1. High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
1. Five years' experience with machine tool equipment processing and fabrication.
Other Requirements
Problem solving and analysis.
Communication proficiency
Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of machine tool components.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$96,560 - $182,640

Coordinate and surface issues to Home Office Underwriters and Field Management.
* Assists in the evaluation of business continuity arrangements and funding mechanisms (such as adequacy of life insurance) to preclude financial drain of customer in the event of the demise of (an) owner or other insurable loss.
* May mentor more junior staff based on level.
* Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* BA/BS in Business Administration or related field typically required.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience expected, typically 7 or more years surety underwriting experience and/or equivalent surety related business experience preferred.
* Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within scope of responsibility.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses and information in understandable written and/or oral directives to other persons in the organization for underwriting or training purposes.

How you'll make an impact
Independently and under limited supervision, evaluates companies to provide health insurance quotes for our client. Identifies and analyzes health risk to follow carrier underwriting guidelines. Receives and processes requests for quotations and escalations. Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favorable quotes and prepares recommendations. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Maintains high accuracy and timeliness while balancing high production volume. May provide guidance to lower level staff, but has no formal supervisory responsibility.
About You
Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required or equivalent industry experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
Preferred: Carrier experience highly preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Drives the use of advanced analytics thought development and maintenance of tools to support the Underwriting Strategy team in portfolio management and field execution. Systematically collects, processes and performs statistical analysis on data sets. Analyzes data to identify patterns, relationships and trends. Prepares reports and presentations to share findings and make recommendations to stakeholders to positively influence underwriting strategy and decision-making processes. Creates tools to enable field execution aligned with predictive analytics to positively impact underwriting results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Gather data needs regularly from stakeholders that will assist in making informed decisions.
* Collaborate with Line of Business Directors to provide data sets and insights to support line of business and state reviews, annual planning, and strategic catastrophe management.
* Collect data from primary and secondary sources, structuring it in a way that allows for effective analysis.
* Scrutinize data through sophisticated analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights and to generate informed business decisions.
* Provide analyses, monitoring, and testing of established and new key metrics for the underwriting portfolio, including the spread of risk and exposure concentration.
* Support market research through categorizing and synthesizing industry data into digestible and usable formats to support strategic profit and growth decisions.
* Utilize internal data available to construct tools, create reports and make recommendations that enable improved underwriting decision making at the underwriting desk level as well as reporting tools for leadership.
* Translate quantitative analyses and findings into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences, providing a clear view into interpreting the data.
* Provide competitive market intelligence and industry analyses regularly.
* Partner with analytics to integrate predictive pricing analytics into selection-based tools and provide underwriting perspective for ongoing adjustments to models.
* Support Special Risk through enhanced tools including comparative analysis to other programs
* Establish operational processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Participate in project work, occasionally leading complex projects and project teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Actuarial Science, Insurance & Risk Management or related field and 4 years of experience in risk analysis.
* Underwriting experience preferred.
* Sound knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
* Demonstrated successful ability to evaluate analytical and technical tools and programs to determine their value.
* Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, exchanging ideas and conveying complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
