Summary of Essential Job Functions • Spend majority of shift on foot patrol, walking and climbing stairs of the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Requires verbal communication using pager and two way radio, bending, stooping and kneeling. • Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, and assisting with door lock problems. Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, associates, patrons and property. Requires grasping, lifting and/or carrying or otherwise moving persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs and safety equipment using manual dexterity of hands. • Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building. Conduct walk through observations of entire hotel. ABOUT THE ROLE: The Security Officer will work at the speedway in various positions and locations. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets all guests with a smile and a helpful demeanor Provides information and directions to guests as requested Reacts appropriately to all comments/complaints/issues in a prompt and friendly manner Ensures a safe and fun environment for all guests, staff, sponsors and partners Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests Ensures the safety of guests and employees Controls access to assigned areas Allows or disallows admission to assigned areas based on credentials Patrols assigned areas as directed Responds to emergencies as trained MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work 12-hour shifts Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed Must present an overall clean, neat appearance, and report to work in appropriate attire Must possess a valid state issued driver's license to operate a company-issues golf cart Must be able to speak, read and write English Must be able to pass a background verification
