Job Description The Central Scheduling Receptionist carries out clerical duties pertinent to the admission process such as intake and routing of all new patients entering our clinic system. Continually tracks marketing efforts and records email addresses for all new patients. Follows up with referrals received to ensure each patient referred to the practice becomes a patient. Liaises with other administrative and clinical staff to ensure all patients have their needs met in a timely fashion. Have a working knowledge of all facilities to refer when appropriate. Provide disposition and referrals for all calls. Provide daily updates to facility leadership on admits status and payer. Manage census, in tandem with ED, with a focus on payer mix to maximize revenue. Assist in maintaining current and accurate database of referral sources through initial phone contact. Track referral sources and develops metrics to assist Marketing team in their marketing efforts.
