Facility Maintenance Technician Primary Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
Keep track of company truck and gas card.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Facility Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in any of the following areas: electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
Valid driver's license
D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR 2nd shift
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a team of maintenance technicians who perform the necessary repair and maintenance activities to achieve optimal equipment reliability at the minimum cost. Assign work to various maintenance personnel based upon priorities established. Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently. Ensure all required maintenance processes and procedures are followed (ie. storeroom parts sign out, shift handover, daily rounds, critical systems log etc).
Ensure all members of the team possess the necessary skills and training required to be effective. Clearly communicate expectations and hold individuals accountable for the achievement of all goals and objectives.
Utilize the company's Enterprise Asset Management System and support its use as a key management information tool. This includes creating & assigning work orders and pm's, requisitions for parts & services and spare parts inventory management. Ensure team members are also utilizing this system for all assigned work (entering task information, parts used, booked hours etc).
Manage timecards for all assigned team members.
Provide input for the preparation of budgets and implementation plans for maintenance, repair, capital and reliability improvement projects. Ensure adherence to various expense and capital budgets as assigned.
Work closely with management and other plant personnel to ensure all activities comply with all federal, state and local laws, statues, codes and regulations, as well as Company policies. Some examples include confined space entry, lock-out / tag-out, hot work permits, process safety management programs, air pollution prevention and storm water pollution prevention, to name a few.
Utilize available plant performance data and other metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency & reliability improvements. Work with plant employees and other resources (incl outside suppliers) to develop and implement changes to equipment, facilities and processes as needed to gain such improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
High school education and/or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in a related field
3-5 years of Supervisory experience - capable of managing a team of 3 to 10 mechanics
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Must be proficient in 3 of the following skills and possess a working knowledge in at least 2 others: mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration and welding
Valid Driver's license
Work weekends if required
Able to work with raw meat and a wet and cold environment.

What you'll be doing: As a Maintenance Technician 3 you will perform preventative and on-demand maintenance on electrical motors, material handling equipment, propane torches, man-lift, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, electrical test equipment and ladders as well as lift equipment jacks, chargers, and batteries. In addition, you will perform general building and conveyor maintenance, light plumbing, carpentry, painting and other assignments as needed. You will assist and relay directions from supervisor to other technicians and assistants.
In this role, you will utilize your strong technical and working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, energy management, hydraulics, material handling equipment, and conveyor systems to keep the Fulfillment Center running smoothly through all shifts.

What you bring to the table:
A mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, ability to read blueprints/schematics including electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex automated electrical control systems
An ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic challenges to repair motor control and lighting systems and work with high voltages (up to 480VAC) as well as low voltage DC electrical systems
An ability to use vendor manuals and procedures to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
An ability to be trained and MHE certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.

What will you do?
Working with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure preventive and routine maintenance is being conducted.
Knowledge of all Distillery equipment including but not limited to pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, valves etc.
Communicating with the Distillery Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor regarding equipment malfunction and or corrective action on daily basis.
Assisting in maintaining and ensuring proper operation of boiler, reverse osmosis (RO) system, water softener, chiller, and cooling tower.
Working knowledge and ability to service and troubleshoot programmable logical controller (PLC) and instrumentation.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
