Position Requirements: Minimum of 1 years law firm experience. Proficient in MS Office (specifically, MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook). Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be reliable and responsible. Must be flexible and open-minded. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, postage machine, and scanner. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.     Working/Functional Title Educational Program Assistant The IMPART Alliance team seeks an Educational Program Assistant to support the recruitment and career development of direct care workers across Michigan. Housed within the College of Osteopathic Medicine, IMPART Alliance, is an organization with the mission to build a strong caregiver workforce - addressing a critical shortage of professional direct care workers (DCWs) and family caregivers. This position will be responsible for assisting the Project Director with development, execution, and management of a Direct Care Worker (DCW) Career Development and Success program as part of establishing a DCW Training and Credentialing Infrastructure (TCI) in Michigan, advocacy on behalf of DCWs and programs focused on lifelong wellbeing and community health. The Educational Program Assistant will aide in development and execution of strategies that are purpose-driven, elevate marginalized people, and promote respect, diversity, inclusivity, and belonging. Specifically, this role will: Compile and coordinate educational programs and materials in order to inform participants of innovations, resources and offerings as well as developing agendas, sets dates and coordinates speakers, contracts, facilities and works within budgets in order to coordinate and facilitate workshops, conferences, courses, and education programs or events. Assist department in gathering information gained from meetings, evaluation forms, and input from individuals in order to design programs and materials to satisfy needs. Assists in managing updates to department web site. Coordinates publicity and organizational procedures in order to implement conferences, workshops, events and programs. Assist in evaluating programs in order to enhance future programs and to disseminate information. Recruiting into DCW career and trainings. Develop outreach and marketing toolkit for target populations identified in partnership with other IA team members and community partners. Work with IA team to develop webinars and educational opportunities for employers, DCW's and partner agencies and share best practice recommendations. This off-dated position has an end date of 9/30/2025 with the possibility for extension based on funding. This position will interact with: Faculty - to discuss programs and share information. Public - to disseminate information about the conference. Support Staff/Interns/Volunteers - to direct the progress of programs and projects. Program Participants - to respond to questions about programs. Co-workers/Supervisors - to discuss current work and develop new projects. Speakers/Artists - to coordinate hospitality and residency arrangements. Public Agencies and Professionals - to develop and plan programs, apply for grants and exchange information. Committee Members - to exchange information. University Representatives - to coordinate and implement programs. Media Representatives - to coordinate program promotion. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school in Education, Marketing, Communications and/or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in maintaining account ledgers, departmental operations, employment; experience in word processing, editing and composing correspondence, and maintaining spreadsheets and/or databases; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications Desired knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first three to four years in college, technical school or related field in Education, Marketing, Communications and/or a specialization in the designated area of expertise; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in planning and overseeing seminars and conferences including public relations, organizing and disseminating training materials and information both written and web- based; budget and records maintenance and computer support; experience in database, spreadsheet, word processing, desktop publishing, knowledge of HTML programming and web site development and management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience developing marketing plans and performing outreach activities statewide, with a focus on marginalized populations. Including but not limited to rural communities, Veterans, Tribal organizations, aging agencies, mental and behavioral health agencies, immigrants/refugees, health systems, Universities and other educational organizations. May require valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position.
