ACT & SAT Exam Prep:
Tutor Doctor Indy is actively seeking tutors/coaches to prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT standardized exams. Tutors will provide ACT and/or SAT prep utilizing Tutor Doctor-specific exam prep materials. Tutors will be provided with an Instructor Guide (with answers) and students will receive the Student Guide. Tutoring sessions will focus on the most-needed modules within the exam prep materials. In addition, there is also an online learning platform that instructors/students will have access to. Within this platform, you will be able to assign additional practice problems to students and monitor their performance. As an ACT/SAT Prep Tutor, you are expected to:
Have excellent familiarity with the ACT and/or SAT exam
Be able to prepare students for the exam both academically, as well as coaching them on the best test-taking skills, pacing, test anxiety, etc.
Be able to provide in-person test prep tutoring, as well as assign practice problems and monitor their performance on those problems outside of the tutoring session
Be able to effectively plan out your schedule for test prep and what you aim to accomplish with the student each session so that they have covered all of the material by the date of their exam
Be able to write a thorough report after each session detailing what was covered, how well the student did, and what you intend to keep practicing with the student in subsequent sessions

The Excel Center is operated by Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., a not-for-profit organization formed by Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.
Recognizing that nearly a half million working-age Hoosiers lack a high school diploma, Goodwill opened The Excel Center for adults in 2010. The Excel Center is a tuition-free public high school for adults offering an Indiana Core 40 high school diploma.

Tutor Doctor provides in-home, one-to-one personalized tutoring to help students achieve their academic potential. Positions with Tutor Doctor Indy are part-time employee positions. We are actively seeking undergraduates, graduates, teachers, business professionals, and subject matter experts to join our team and help students reach their goals!
ACT & SAT Exam Prep:
Tutor Doctor Indy is actively seeking tutors/coaches to prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT standardized exams. Tutors will provide ACT and/or SAT prep utilizing Tutor Doctor-specific exam prep materials. Tutors will be provided with an Instructor Guide (with answers) and students will receive the Student Guide. Tutoring sessions will focus on the most-needed modules within the exam prep materials. In addition, there is also an online learning platform that instructors/students will have access to. Within this platform, you will be able to assign additional practice problems to students and monitor their performance. As an ACT/SAT Prep Tutor, you are expected to:
Have excellent familiarity with the ACT and/or SAT exam
Be able to prepare students for the exam both academically, as well as coaching them on the best test-taking skills, pacing, test anxiety, etc.
Be able to provide in-person test prep tutoring, as well as assign practice problems and monitor their performance on those problems outside of the tutoring session
Be able to effectively plan out your schedule for test prep and what you aim to accomplish with the student each session so that they have covered all of the material by the date of their exam
Be able to write a thorough report after each session detailing what was covered, how well the student did, and what you intend to keep practicing with the student in subsequent sessions

Qualifications:

Has achieved or is currently enrolled in post-secondary education
Has access to a vehicle, and is able to travel to committed tutoring appointments consistently.
Is able to effectively tutor/coach students as they prepare for the ACT or SAT exam.
Is able to tutor in one or more of the following areas:
ACT: English, Math and/or Science
SAT: English and/or Math
