Reading Assist's Tutors to Teachers Delaware program, in collaboration with Wilmington University, provides a unique opportunity for participants to obtain a Master's degree while serving as a Reading Assist Fellow or reading tutor for underserved elementary students in Delaware. This program allows Fellows to earn an M.Ed. in Special Education and Delaware state licensure within two years. In the second year, Fellows engage in a school district teaching residency, receiving an additional stipend while gaining hands-on classroom experience. Fellows are placed in elementary schools across Delaware, providing specialized reading instruction to kindergarten through third-grade students who face significant literacy challenges.
