The Part-Time Upper School MYP Mandarin Teacher implements and delivers curriculum based on the IB philosophy and helps direct students' activities to reach his or her fullest potential in the specified academic areas as well as the community as a whole. In Language Acquisition, the position of Upper School MYP Mandarin teacher entails using the target language in class, including through authentic and instructional materials that incorporate culture, and facilitating students' contributions in the target language through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities.
