The Manufacturing Access Program (MAP) is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable student tutor to support learners in successfully completing the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) credential by SME. Tutors will facilitate the learning process by coaching and mentoring students through the online CMA curriculum, ensuring they stay on schedule, and assisting with content comprehension. Tutors will complete the online CMA modules and pass the certification test before tutoring, with all costs covered ($300 value). This is an excellent opportunity for students with strong manufacturing fundamentals to develop leadership and teaching skills while helping peers succeed. The MAP program schedule is July 14 th -July 30 th from 8:30am-12:30pm. Tutors will be paid a for a total of 51 hours at $15/hour ($765) (2.5-week commitment) All necessary materials will be provided to tutors. Ensure learners remain on track with the program schedule and completion timelines. Assist students in understanding course materials, including safety, power tools, math fundamentals, basic measurement, blueprint reading, and various manufacturing topics (e.g., additive manufacturing, CNC machines, robotics). Provide clarification and support for complex concepts as needed. If uncertain about a topic, consult with a supervisor for guidance. Track student progress and provide updates or concerns to program coordinators. Uphold a positive and supportive learning environment.
