5. Coordinate with instructors to have up to date resources, such as books, syllabi, software, etc.
6. Develop a flow of communication to keep up with the latest requirements and techniques.

8. Providing feedback to the dean, nurse science program director, and paramedicine program director regarding issues or success stories.
9. Document on-going student contact logs via computerized database.

SUMMARY: Teacher with the knowledge and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social, and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities of an elementary teacher. In a variety of teaching and learning platforms (i.e. Google Classroom, face-to-face, virtual, hy-flex, synchronous, &/or asynchronous).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: These statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to this position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
Teach students utilizing course of study and/or skill sequence adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning activities according to the goals and objectives of the District which include and are not limited to Oklahoma Academic Standards as stipulated by State Department of Education.
Specifically teach each essential component of reading - phoneme awareness; phonics, decoding, spelling, and word study; oral language development; vocabulary; reading fluency; comprehension; and writing - and the foundational concepts that link these components.
Adapt the curriculum to provide individual, small-group, or remedial instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Utilize technology in a variety of teaching and learning platforms (i.e.Google Classroom, face-to-face, virtual, hy-flex, synchronous, &/or asynchronous).
Establish and maintain a standard of students' behavior needed to provide an orderly productive classroom environment.
Evaluate each student's progress in the subject area.
Assists with special projects

The goal of the OKCPS Summer Credit Recovery program is to support students as they strive to achieve their high school diploma through an ambitious program that is established with student achievement at the forefront. This 4 week program focuses on hiring the most qualified professionals in our district to serve our students. 2025 Summer Learning Information
Dates of Program:
The credit recovery program will offer four weeks of direct support for students attempting to recover credit. The academic sessions will be offered in the morning time to increase enrollment and engage more students.
Dates for in-person credit recovery: June 2nd through June 27th

Dates for online credit recovery (e3): May 27th through June 27th for those individuals working to fulfill graduation requirements in order to fulfill graduation requirements for their high school diploma.

Staff Referral: Students who have unsuccessfully attempted a core course or qualifying elective course needed to meet their graduation requirements are eligible for credit recovery. Enrollment must be completed by a school administrator or guidance counselor.
Staffing:
The goal for the credit recovery face to face instruction is that a student receives their instruction from a certified OKCPS Staff member in a class size ratio no larger than 20:1. A primary goal for the 2025 program is related to the continuation of small class sizes. It is the district's goal to provide the most in depth individualized support for those students attending the in person component of credit recovery.

Essential Job Functions:
Confer with school personnel to analyze diagnostic assessment results.
Tutor elementary-grade students in reading.
Maintain required records (student progress, assessment results, hours of tutoring, etc).
Maintain a professional relationship with students, parents and educators.
Participate in training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Successful performance of the job requires good customer service/people skills and to handle problems and provide information and technical assistance as requested. It requires complying with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accidents or injury to staff or to students. It requires following school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff. Creativity, initiative and effective problem solving are critical to the success of the position.Help manage the computerization of school district operations. Provide training and support to district staff in the use of administrative computer systems. Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the educational program. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an incumbent is free to choose the solution.
