Temporary Description In the absence of the full time classroom teacher, the substitute teacher provides instruction, encourages student progress, and manages the learning environment. Substitute teacher(s) are an integral part of our school's educational team, and fill the temporary vacancies created when faculty, teaching assistants/aides or receptionist's are absent or on leave from the school. The substitute leads the classroom instruction by using lesson plans, providing support to students in understanding subject matter, and ensuring that regular classroom routines are followed.
