Teachers will present projects, work with campers, monitor behavior and help create an environment that would enhance the theme of the camp.
This is a temporary/seasonal position. Required availability between 7:30am-5:15pm, Monday-Friday. Paid training scheduled May 27-30 (attendance required).
Duties & Responsibilities:
90% Lead Daily Camp Programming
Review camp curriculum that supports a STEAM learning strategy while presenting it in fun themes such as Bluey, Barbie, and Nintendo!
Work alongside co-teacher to supervise up to 18 students per session
Monitor students during free-play within museum and during lunches
Tailor programming to the needs of each student as necessary
Professionally interact with parents during pick up and drop off procedures
Monitor camper behavior within classroom, working with the Education Manager, to ensure a safe and fun camp experience for all campers.
Operate CampSite digital software to ensure proper pick-up, drop off, and attendance procedures occur.
Attend and supervise off-site camp field trips
10% Maintenance
Daily cleaning and maintenance of classrooms to ensure a positive camp experience each day
Monitor supplies and communicate needs in a timely manner to the Education Manager
Create a festive and welcoming environment that is individualized for each camp theme
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education background preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language required
Must be able to attend four days of paid curriculum and team training, May 27-30, 2025
Competencies:
Prior experience with children and coursework in education, child development or a combination of related education and experience preferred.
Understanding of child development, especially cognitive abilities and motor skills
