SUMMARY:
We are seeking part-time tutors to work with Upper School students in various subject areas. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively engage with students and contribute to their learning and growth in areas of need. At this time, we are looking for candidates with expertise in the areas of math and science as well as candidates with experience working with students who receive Exceptional Education services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides tutoring services to students according to their need and with direction from the Tutoring Coordinator / HS Principal.
2. Offers assistance with developing study strategies.
3. Instructs students during tutoring sessions in assigned subject matter(s).
4. Assesses the students progress throughout the tutoring sessions.
5. Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree.

Three years of demonstrated, effective teaching experience in math at the middle or upper school level
Ability to collaborate well with colleagues in all areas of education including planning, assessment, student care, and student life
Ability to work effectively with a variety of learners
Understanding of and ability to meet the discipleship and developmental needs of students in grades 7-12
Experience in the use of technology for instruction
Ability to communicate graciously and effectively, both verbally and in writing
