The primary goal of Horizons is to reverse the trend of summer learning loss that adversely impacts the long-term success of underserved students. The assistant teacher will work with one class of 15 students that range from rising 1st through 8th grade and will be part of a team that consists of a Lead Teacher and an Instructional Assistant. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the Lead Teacher to provide an engaging and fun classroom experience for all campers while providing effective classroom management 2. Assist the Lead Teach to develop and implement creative and engaging camp 3. Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude with staff, parents, campers and others 4. Demonstrates professionalism, timeliness, effective communication, problem-solving, patience, flexibility, etc. 5.
