Position Summary
Assist youth ages 10-16 with school assignments and special projects. Provide adequate support and information to students who need academic guidance to foster academic discipline and commitment to improve in homework production and in levels of general school subjects. This is a great job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate small groups and/or one-on-one reading, math, history or/and science comprehension sessions for students struggling in those subjects when necessary.
Plan and teach an academic enrichment class once a week.
Checking student homework to assure that students have adequately completely completed their assignments.
Be cooperative with managing students and be prepared at all times to work diligently for the betterment of HOLA's youth.
Be punctual and communicate any concerns or questions to the Bridges Staff.
Create and foster a positive academic/career-enriching environment for all youth (grades 6th-10th).
Support HOLA in all areas of after-school programming.
Develop and implement academic assignments for students with low academic performance in order to enhance their learning and interest in the subject.
Gain and maintain knowledge of current educational issues/trends.

The goal of the intervention specialist is to ensure that learners are able to master grade level standards and curriculum. responsible for overseeing and implementing the SST process, tracking data and creating and implementing a variety of intervention strategies for struggling learners.
