Identifies eligible students in need of tutorial services through Power School and collaboration with teacher, parent, or guardian.

JOB DUTIES
Provide academic and cultural development support to eligible Alaska Native and American Indian students in small groups, one-on-one settings, and/or extended school day hours.
Tutor students in some or all the following subjects: reading, writing, math, language arts, English, science, and social studies; integrate into classrooms with a high number of Native students.
Provides support to classroom teachers on issues and strategies in working with students to meet the goals of the district's curriculum and the student's needs.
Uses current data system to maintain records of all students served, logs, and tracks the type of support provided to students and the student's progress. Provides monthly and quarterly reports to supervisor.
Identifies eligible students in need of tutorial services through Power School and collaboration with teacher, parent, or guardian.
Provides individual and small group academic instruction, adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs; coordinates tutoring services, and reports to teachers and parents on student progress.
Collaborates with the classroom teacher(s) in determining the needs of students; implements and evaluates individual tutorial plans, maintains, and evaluates student records and tracks academic progress; assists in parent-teacher conferences, upon request.

Maintains client and family confidentiality according to FERPA. Adheres to the Code of Ethics and to confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
