Experienced as a Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist, or similar, working with provider documentation/notes and medical charting within a hospital or group practice setting. Certification: Obtain a certification within the Health Information area (i. e. Maintains record confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records, Freedom of Information Act, JCAHO, and hospital procedures.
