Full pay package also includes other accessorial compensation to include tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over-dimensional pay as appropriate. Including both mileage pay and all other accessorial pay, full-time drivers on this fleet can make $900 - $1,500 per week ($46,800 - $78,000 per year) depending on experience, routes, regular attendance and length of service.
Flatbed Regional Driver Rate: $.57-$.71 per mile, depending on experience.

Essential Functions:

Local Flex Truck Driver
Drivers must live within a 50-mile radius of Davenport
Local flex driver needed for dedicated account. Flex drivers must be willing to run both solo and team routes. However, most of the routes will be solo. There will be very limited instances that may require a driver to team drive out of Davenport. Flex drivers are responsible for filling in for drivers who are out sick, on vacation, etc. Work consists of delivering aftermarket parts (loose package pieces i.e. hoods, bumpers, doors, etc.) to dealerships. If on a night route, the driver will be given the keys to unlock the gate/doors at dealerships. They are responsible for unloading the trailer, scanning in the new load being delivered, picking up returns and locking the dealership back up before heading out. Drivers must be comfortable maneuvering a tractor-trailer in car lots - the ideal drivers will be comfortable with city driving. This route will have steady work and consistent freight.
If we are running full staffed, we schedule drivers to ride along on heavier routes to assist with deliveries.
Drivers will have to complete a minimum of one week of training on the account before they can run without a trainer. All drivers will be paid an hourly rate of $18.54. The total hours they will be running each day depends on call outs, as this is a flex position.

This position is responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Penske locations and Penske customers. Primarily, this position moves our box trucks up to 26' and for CDL Class A will include tractors and trailer movement. Position may also provide assistance to the service department to deliver parts and equipment.
This is a casual/on-call part-time truck driving job that is perfect for licensed CDL Class B or CDL Class A drivers seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs.
Major Responsibilities: • Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Penske location or customer locations • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
