Position Description The Sr. Manager, Proposals supports the growth and customer retention goals of the CoverMyMeds through a variety of strategic and tactical client solutions-oriented activities. Reporting to the Sr Director, the Sr Manager of Proposals supports the team directly responsible for leading, planning, scheduling, and overseeing the timely development and delivery of high-quality responses to pharmaceutical client opportunities, from pre-RFP to post-submission activities, in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Proposal Manager will work collaboratively with leadership to develop team members, evaluate proposal management processes, facilitate process changes, manage content, and participate in projects aimed a continuous improvement of proposal submissions. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead a team of proposal analysts directly supporting the CoverMyMeds sales team including, but not limited to supporting day-to-day activities, delegating assignments, developing team skills, establishing baseline goals, and motivating the team. Establish development plans for proposal analyst within the team to support in achieving their desired goals. Ensure team goals are aligned with overall organizational strategies. Process Management: Regularly engage in targeted activities designed to enhance the proposal process including review of content management systems, process flows, team playbooks, etc. Establish and track proposal schedules, plans, deadlines, and progress. Partner with key business stakeholders such as sales, finance, marketing, operations and product development to better define project engagements. Proposal Quality: Manage the successful development of compliant, competitive, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across teams within CoverMyMeds. Provide support for team inquiries on complex processes, content, and resources as well as overall guidance on quality of the proposal with the goal of ensuring final submissions to the client are an accurate representation of the key stakeholder needs, customized solution being recommended, as well as the solution value to the client. Minimum Requirements Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience. Critical Skills Previous experience effectively coaching and managing a team responsible for supporting sales initiatives Progressive proposal management or marketing experience (Fortune 500 company experience preferred) that includes proposal development and management, project management, analysis and marketing communications. Experience in the specialty healthcare or pharmaceutical segment with understanding of healthcare continuum and relationship between manufacturers, providers and payers Strong industry specific knowledge, including: demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices. Strong business acumen of specialty the pharmacy commercialization and buying process including third party logistics, brand support services, consigned pharmacy, specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships across multi-business units, management teams, executive teams, business partners, current and prospective clients Excellent grammar and vocabulary skills including the ability to compose complex proposal as well as edit content to ensure it is representative of the end customers needs. Proficiency with CRM Software such as Salesforce.com Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Proficiency in content management systems such as Qvidian, Loopio, etc. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Strong prioritization, time management and project management skills Ability to manage complex issues, function independently, demonstrate flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively with remote internal and external teams Critical thinking, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Nonviolence Chicago is seeking a detail oriented and proactive person who can collaborate with multiple types of program staff including outreach workers, clinicians, job coaches, and program managers from Nonviolence Chicago and SC2 partner organizations. This position requires flexibility, the ability to thrive in an evolving environment and passion for the mission of Nonviolence Chicago. The Project Manager will work closely with the VP of Operations and COO to ensure alignment between departments, support bi-weekly steering committee meetings and track overall SC2 implementation progress towards objectives, among other duties. The Project Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with cross functional teams within Nonviolence Chicago including outreach, behavioral health and programs. This position will be based on the west side of Chicago (in Austin and West Garfield Park) with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate organizational planning and implementation with SC2 Collaborative leadership. Support bi-weekly steering committee meetings by creating agendas, managing meeting invites and attendance, and capturing next steps. Facilitate successful implementation by knowing the details of all aspects of the Collaborative and leveraging the steering committee when their leadership and decision-making authority is needed to move the work forward. Generate bi-weekly implementation reports for the Collaborative leadership to convey specific task status, any challenges experienced, and areas for input. Develop and track an implementation work plan with guidance from Nonviolence Chicago leadership Support on-going documentation of SC2 initiative meetings and activities (such as canvassing) to aid regular grant reporting. Track progress toward agreed upon goals as outlined in grant deliverables. Oversee and monitor quality control of partner organizations to ensure standards and protocols are met across the project. Track KPI's Inform all partners if a workstream falls behind schedule and troubleshoot how to get back on track; maintain an up-to-date risk list for each workstream. Participate in regular SC2 data meetings to be able to support the use of Apricot across department and Collaborative partners Support work groups to ensure each work stream remains on track; outreach/dashboard, care coordination, data, workforce development, and communications. Develop agendas for each work group meeting. Facilitate meetings and capture next steps. Communicate with work group members in between meetings to ensure agreements upon tasks are completed on time. Feed questions and items for feedback up the Steering Committee, as needed. Recognize opportunities for communication and problem solving across work groups; elevate these to the Steering Committee as needed. Ensure clear and open communication between partners. Assist with communication flow between partners as well as within each organization. Communicate implementation challenges to relevant organizational leaders. Have the ability to speak publicly about the Collaborative to a range of audiences and share lessons learned with others in the field. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Prior experience in large scale project management required. Incredibly detail oriented, with the ability to produce high quality work efficiently and with minimal oversight. Willingness to take proactive ownership of projects and meet deadlines; ability to communicate roadblocks and propose solutions. Ability to navigate ambiguity and be a strong self-starter; generate original ideas and to solve complex problems. Ability to listen to feedback from multiple people, each with their own priorities; and synthesize various viewpoints. Willingness to work beyond the stated rile for the better of the team. Experience working with a distributed workforce is a strong plus. Knowledge of community violence intervention strategies or other related human service interventions. Experience working in a with communities of color. High integrity and alignment with the collaborative's mission and partners organization's values including commitment to social justice and racial equity. Ability and commitment to maintain high-level of confidentiality. Ability to understand and follow safety/security practices. Ability to work in high pressure situations. SALARY/BENEFITS: Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $70,000 - $75,000.
