The job of Human Resources Supervisor was established for the purpose/s of acting as a lead person in the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to managers and district employees regarding policies and regulations, addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support. Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Aid company compliance with Federal and State Employment and Labor Laws.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions when necessary.
Maintains organization's staff by recruiting, testing and interviewing candidates for employment, counseling managers on candidate selection and conducting and analyzing exit interview data.
Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers and disciplining employees when necessary. Schedules management conferences with employees. Maintains employee benefits program and informs employees of benefits.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records and representing the organization at hearings.
Responsible for benefits administration, which also includes the reconciliation of health insurance invoices.
Responsible for handling work injury claims, which also includes submitting form DWC FORM 005 yearly AND DWC FORM 007 as required to the Texas Department of Insurance.
Responsible for auditing and maintaining personnel files and I-9 forms, as well as filing EEOC reports such as EEO-1 Survey.
Responsible for unemployment claims and hearings.
Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resources policies and procedures.
Maintains historical human resources records by designing a filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Completes human resources operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and follows up on their work results.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsible for scheduling and planification of meetings
