DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the coordination, design (in partnership with engineering) and repair of tooling and fixtures from concept to the machining of the final product.
2. Develop machining methods, techniques, and processes to repair turbine engine components to specifications as a stand-alone machinist or working in unison with the Process Engineers and Research & Development.
3. Develop and perform machining processes on high alloy materials to turn, mill, or grind turbine engine parts such as bushings, pins, threaded inserts and similar.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 1 year manufacturing experience
Ability to perform simple math, add, subtract, multiply, divide and take measurements
Knowledge and understanding of the job duties of Downstream Operators, Material Handlers, and Reel Builders
Knowledge and understanding of the grinder, smooth core procedures and operation
Valid lift truck/forklift experience
Working knowledge of grinders, extruders, printers, reelers, vacuum systems, chiller systems, resin systems, pullers, quality control standards, and product specifications
Fluent in English but Bi-Lingual is a Plus!

Days: 6:45am-7:00pm
12 hour rotating schedule
Schedule:
One week you work 48 hours and the next week you work 36 hours
Total of 84 hours for a pay period
Every Other Weekend Off
Work 15 days a month

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Grinder Operator is accountable to physically operate and maintain the Grinding area in a way that ensures all scrap is cut, ground and cleared. The Grinder will operate the grinding equipment, band saw and extrusion equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Know and understand the quality and material requirements for all products
* Monitors operating parameters of product and extrusion equipment to confirm that product materials and quality requirements are being met
* Maintains accurate documentation of all ground product dimensions on reports and accurately tracks weights, labeling product and gaylords appropriately
* Ensures all unused tooling is returned to the tool room
* Coordinates required tooling changes with other operators that have responsibilities on the line
* Provide all clean up in the grinding area, including waste disposals
* Ensures pipe is marked with proper print line as specified in the quality manual
